Coastal Hazards in Ecuador

in this week we will be discusing about Coastal erosion in Ecaudor. When talking about coastal erosion what do you imagine? I imagine the beach houses ready to fall off the cliff 50 feet below the ocean. "Coastal erosion is the process by which local sea level rise, strong wave action, and coastal flooding wear down or carry away rocks, soils, and/or sands along the coast."(U.S. Climate Resilience Toolkit) Shorline cautions: Ecuador is in risk of high ocean level. High ocean level is related to El Nino making sea level water to approach and flood towns. Beach erosion has now been affected and many piers, boardwalks and homes are being damaged. Global warming is also a significant cause for these erotions making tides to rise because of excessive heat.
