Ecuador has One of the strongest earthquakes averaging more than 7.0 magnitude and destroying houses, landscapes, and more. All of this is within a 100-kilometer radius. the strongest earthquake ever recorded in this country was on April 16, 2016, in the region Near West Coast (Manabi, Esmeraldas). With a 7.8 Magnitude. This Has to do with Tectonic Plates shifting and getting stuck causing them to touch and cause friction. This eventually can even create a tsunami and can destroy a significant amount of land in the area.
